Cold Thursday

As you can see we are doing everything we can to stay warm today. The weather people say something about an Alberta clipper being in town. We don't know what that means but we know we don't like clippers getting near our hairs, feet or hoohas so it must not be good. We feel very bad for any cat who lives outside. Mom said she'd open the house to every cat who wanted to come in for the night last night but she couldn't afford to let the heat go out with the door open. We've never ever known it to be this cold before. The news people said its been about 12 years. It sounds like its cold everywhere. Windchill is supposed to get between -40 and -50. We are keeping our mom and dad warm too. They are warm and we like to cuddle with them. Nemo will be posting for fashion Friday tomorrow. It is supposed to be a little warmer so he can model without freezing his nips off.

Wordless Wednesday (Almost)

Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. Mom has been tired. Our dad had another appointment for his throat yesterday. Things looked normal so he is good for another 6 weeks. Please continue to send purrs and prayers for him to not have any more abnormal cells on his larynx. We had lots of snow this weekend and then more snow on Monday and mom might get another snow day today. She's hoping. The high for Thursday is -1 before the windchill is considered. That is furry cold. Here is our picture for the day.As you can see we have been spending a lot of time on this love seat. The love seat is in an alcove with all windows so the sun comes in here and we can see lots of stuff. Patches does not like to share the spot though so its rare to get one of us together.

Photo Hunt-Aftermath

We have decided to do the photo hunt for this week and give it a try so here it goes.

The theme for this week is aftermath. At first we weren't sure how we were going to show aftermath and didn't really know what it meant so mom had to explain it. She said the best way would be to show the before picture and then the aftermath of it so here it goes.This is us with our new catnip toys. We play and play and lick and bunnykick them.

This is the aftermath. Nemo bunnykicks so hard he makes hair from his belly fall off and then we are both lazy for the rest of the day.

Hiding places

Let me tell you, our humans have been lazy on letting us post this week. We've been giving them lots of opportunities to talk about stuff by what we do. We got some grass for Christmas and dad is growing it for us. I, Patches, finally found it on top of the fridge so have started to go up there to eat it even though its not quite ready. Nemo has been jumping up there and then to the cabinets and then meows because he doesn't know how to get down. Mom and Dad run to get the camera but by that time we have snuck off and then just been lazy. Mom found a new outfit for Nemo but has no energy to go upstairs get it, bring it down to Nemo and take a picture for Fashion Friday. That will have to wait for next week. These pictures are a bit old but mom always laughs when she sees them. We like to hide in weird places and she will call and call for us but we don't come out. At least we are really cute when we do it.

Tattletale Tuesday

OK, so our pictures of having to take the bath make it look super terrible but really its not that bad. Afterwards, they turn the heat on high and wrap us in towel and treat us like babies. For Patches, she gets to use the blow dryer and fluffs her up real nice. Mom loves to cuddle with us when we get all dry because we are so soft. Mom is so glad that we are so good and just kind of walk around in the water. We really have not been doing much lately. We did help with taking the Christmas decorations down. We like to jump in the boxes and inspect everything before it gets put away.
Nemo has been doing lots and lots of napping just like usual.
Sorry this is so late in posting. Mom was trying to get it ready last night and our Internet went down and just got back up. Ugh, technology

A Bath!

So we started out the New Year trying to be less crabby but do you know what they did to us since they had the day off. They gave us baths. Nemo gets a lot of dandruff but greasy and we are making sure there are no more fleas. We haven't had a bath since we moved in August. We were not pleased about it either. Lets just say we are trying to not be crabby, but its really hard. Hopefully this doesn't continue throughout the year. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Mom apologizes for the fuzzyness of the pictures but she says its hard to track down a wet cat that is constantly shaking the wet off.

Thursday Thirteen-New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone. We can hardly believe that its a new year. We stayed up late to watch the new year come in but it didn't look any different than the old year. We wanted to share our New Years resolutions with you. Hopefully we can stick to them.

1. Welcome the baby into our family and not be grumpy about it. (This is number one because it might be the hardest, especially for Patches)

2. Enjoy more time with my nip cigar I got for Christmas.
3. Spend time seeing the rainbow with my nip rainbow.
4. Being more nice to my sister and not bothering her all the time (Nemo)

5. Tolerate my brother more so I'm not always hissing at him (Patches)

6. Not drop as many bombs in the litterbox (Nemo)

7. Convince mom that we need a kitty stroller so we can go out strollering when the baby comes.

8. Not puke from high places so I can hear it go splat and make a big mess. (Patches)

9. Sleep even more in the sun.

10. Maybe not eat all my fancy feast the first night mom fills the bowl. (Nemo)

11. Blog and visit our friends blogs on a regular basis.

12. Not be as crabby.

13. Enjoy the year with my mom, dad and new baby and have fun.

Hope everyone has a great start to the year. We hope this is the best year for everyone. The last few weeks have been kinda sad around the cat blogosphere and we hope it goes better this year.
