Happy 5th Birthday Patches!

This is my very first picture. This is when Mom fell in love with me.

Today is my birthday. Five years ago I was borned on my grandma's farm. My mom and dad saw me when I was only a few days old. Mom had been wanting to get a calico cat and I just was born at the right time. They told Grandma that they wanted me so she kept her eye on me. I was borned in a chainsaw box and tried to escape several times. Grandma finally took me and my litter mates inside and mom and dad came and visited me many times. Mom says I'm getting old because I'm getting some gray hairs. My mom cat was a dilute calico so I say I'm just changing colors. I'd show lots of pictures of me as a baby but that was a time before mom and dad had a digital camera.

I will post a picture of me and my tuna cake tonight. I have lots of tuna and temptations and lots of nip to share so teleport over and we can celebrate.

Tomorrow morning is when Mom and Dad will go to the hospital to start the abduction. Hopefully we will have a baby home by the weekend. We are not so sure about this but Mom bought us Sheba to butter us up so maybe it won't be too bad. We will post pictures and info as soon as our Mom and Dad get home with the new baby.

Fashion Friday with Nemo

Sorry we haven't been around much this week. We have been busy and the weather has been nice so we get to go out every night when Mom and Dad come home and by the time we get back in and sit down Mom and Dad are beat so they won't help us. Mom was having some contractions last night so we had to keep her company while she was awake. The doctor said Mom was just having some sort of false labor. Seems weird to us. Our Mom has a job interview today as well so please keep her in your thoughts. We've been asking for lots of purrs lately but keep them coming. This would be great for Mom to get this job after the baby is born and it would mean more green papers which always means more food.

I'd like to show off my new fashion today. Since we have been outside a lot lately and I have finally moved from the steps I got a safari hat. I'm kinda new to wearing something on my head so these are by no means professional photos.

My pink bandanna kinda clashes but whatever.I'm waiting by the door. Ever since I realized the outside isn't that scary I meow all night after coming in. I drive my Mom and Dad nuts.From the side view you can see that the hat has holes for my ears. I'm still waiting for the door to open.

Dad's Surgery

Today is the day of Dad's surgery. He is having another biopsy done on his larynx to check the tissue. Last time it came back as moderate dysplasia. We are hoping for it to either be the same or nothing this time. We need all the purrs we can get for him so Dad can be healthy. Dad's surgery is at 1:15pm. Last time the surgery didn't take that long but then he has to recover and then there is an hour drive back home. We will either update in the evening when the humans get back or Saturday. The results on the other hand make us all nervous. Mom says that she will be happy to know something and to know where to go from there. Dad is young and strong and whatever it is we know he can fight it.

Mom went to the doctor today too for them to check on the baby. Mom is at week 36. We think that is a very long time to be carrying a baby around. We think she agrees because shes always whining about something hurting. They want to do another ultrasound to check the position of the baby because the doctor couldn't tell if the head was down or not. Stupid doctor is going on vacation next week too. Well enough for updates for now. We will let you know how our dad feels tomorrow. It might be a week or so when we find out anything from the biopsy.

An Update on our dad and some news to share.

Well, today is going to be word Wednesday here. We have had so many great comments asking about our dad so we thought we would give a little update. Dad was all back to normal quickly because it was just the biopsy. We are waiting for full results and have that appointment on December 2. Dad got his tooth fixed so its not chipped anymore. Last Sunday dad left at night and stayed all night somewhere else. When he came home he smelled funny. He said that he went for a sleep study. Sounds like a fun job, study someone sleeping. Dad snores furry badly and none of us cats like it, especially not our mommycat. He has snored forever and mom already wears earplugs but still can't sleep. They are recommending a CPAP machine to push air in his nose. He said after they let him wear that, he had the best sleep ever. We have to wait until December 2 for that too but soon we can all sleep in peace. The other news we want to share is that our mom keeps talking about a special delivery coming in April. Her and dad keep telling us we are going to be a big brother and a big sister. They also keep talking about a baby in mom's belly and how she thinks it will be funny when it kicks us when we lay on her. I don't know what she is talking about. I hope someone can tell us what that means fur us. Mom says that we will still be their first children and we will still be spoiled. I guess we will see when April comes. Mom says we are going to do regular posts next week with the themes. She thinks if we stay with that it won't be so hard for her to think and look for pictures to post.
