Fashion Friday

This is my new dress for Fashion Friday. The bow is slimming and if you sit just right the squishy tummy goes away under the ruffles.

I'm still learning how to pose. I'm not a professional yet. Mom needs a professional camera as well to get some better photos. We are too quick for her current camera.

This is after eating some treats for being cooperative. You can see my tongue. Mom is too lazy to deal with the laser eyes now. I gave her a lot of pictures to play around with.

Nemo thought he had to be part of the photo shoot too. He kinda matched. We are sharing a sardine. We ended up having to get another one out, sharing is no fun.

Worried Wednesday

Nemo napping, what else would he be doing?

Today is another worried Wednesday at our house. Remember way back in November when we told you our Dad had surgery and all that. Since then he has to go see the throat doctor every 6 weeks for a checkup. He had one yesterday and they are wanting to go back in for another biopsy. The abnormal tissue is on his larynx so they can't just go digging and take stuff out. Last time it came out as moderate dysplasia so it is something we need to keep watch on. We are hoping that that is all it is again and that has not advanced. They have scheduled his surgery for March 13th. We are a little worried because that is Friday the 13th. Our Grandma is coming to stay and take Dad to Iowa City since Mom is pregnant and will be about 36 weeks along at that point we don't want her to take any chances having to drive an hour away. Mom's eyes have been leaking a lot because she's very scared for Dad and upset that this is happening. This time of stuff usually happens to people over the age of 55 and that are heavy smokers. Dad is only 25 and does not smoke. Hopefully that will make it easier for him to fight it. We would just like you guys to keep us in your thoughts. The next couple months will be hard with his surgery, finding out the results and having a baby. We will keep everyone posted as to how things are going. The biopsy surgery is pretty minor so we will have our Dad home that day. The waiting for the results is hard, last time it was a month before we heard anything. Until then we are going to stay positive and have fun with our Dad. We are getting a little restless to go outside so we hope Spring comes soon. Nemo is also going to share his story soon of throat surgery.Patches sitting in Dad's chair taking a bath.

Oops

Well, Mom screwed up our blog. She had been working on Tuesday's post on Sunday and Monday evening when something wasn't working out so Dad had to look at it. It looks different than others but we are going with the flow. In the confusion, it got posted early but Mom said she stopped caring and left it there so sorry for the Tuesday post on Monday. Mom said it was Tuesday somewhere!

Tuesday Catchup

We are trying to catch up with awards and stuff that we have not posted. If we forgot any in our listing we are sorry. We might need a new typist since ours seems to fail more than she succeeds with blogging. We know it is a bit late but we got a valentine from the cats at Peggy's Place. We are very excited to have a valentine and even though Valentines Day has passed, we will be your valentine anytime. If you want to see our valentine, click here. We have received an award from Tristan and Crikey way back at the beginning of February.

Mom translated this for us since it is in Spanish.
"This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
In the spirit of friendship, we pass this award to the following cats: Most have already received this award but we want to recognize them anyway.

Whicky Wuudler
The Creek Cats
The Island Cats
Victor and Nina
Monty
Eric and Flynn

We also received another award from the Ernie's Voice gang.

We are not going to list more people for this award and it goes to the same people as above since it seems to be a similar award.

Whew, that was a lot of catchup we had to do. Mom bought one of us something for Fashion Friday and we are excited to show you guys this week but that is enough for now. Sorry no pictures of us today but it has been a chore to get this much done.

Mancat Monday by Nemo

These weekends go by so fast. Mom and Dad left us on Friday for some short of shower for a baby. I don't understand, Mom takes a shower everyday and I just don't get why she had to wash the baby in the belly 3 hours from home. While they were gone some exciting things happened. Our friends came over on Saturday and locked us in the bedroom and then later two weird guys came in and opened the forbidden room and attic and worked on making sure there are no bats left and what not and then they letted us out. It took us awhile to show Mom and Dad that we missed them. We don't like getting stuffed in a room, having strange guys come and going without stinky goodness for a day. Mom is feeling better so hopefully we will be around more this week.

Mom is teaching me how to dance pretty for treats.

Wordy Wednesday

Mom still has the cold stuff. She's surviving though. We are starting to get closer in hopes that if we lay on her it will make her feel all better. Bad part is when we try to lay on her something kicks us. Mom and Dad say that it is our babycat. If its kicking us now, what will we do when it gets here. We mentioned a few weeks ago about a dandruff problem we were having. We also mentioned we got a smorgasbord of new foods to try. It is dry here in the winter months so it is common for us to get some dandruff, but we were really bad. We have a humidifier running in the bedroom so that helps too. Our Mom and Dad are also concerned with all the by-products and junk in our foods as well. The problem is, we are picky. We refuse to give up our dry fancy feast we get upstairs every few nights as a treat. Of course our stinky goodness is a different story. We don't like the same thing for very long and all these foods mom and dad would prefer we eat because of what is in them is not as good as fancy feast and wholesome goodness and market selects. We hope our new friend Jerusalem Jones reads this because they were looking for other foods too.

This stuff is tasty. We like the wet food too. It said it is made from wholesome ingredients but whole ground corn is the 1st ingredient. This stuff was also pretty tasty. It is just an indoor recipe. The problem is that it is in little pebbles and we don't chew them, we swallow them. Not sure how good that will be for tartar buildup. We have a toothbrush, but we don't like it too much.
This is tasty too, but has corn gluten meal. This is our winner as Patches is showing. This is spa select for sensitive skin. Since starting on this, our dandruff has gotten so much better along with their fur being silky smooth.

What do other cats on the blogosphere eat? We are curious if there is something else out there to try that might be tasty. We like trying new things.

Tired Tuesday

Well, our mom has managed to get sick again and she thought it was bad the last time. This time she is 32 weeks pregnant and coughing and sneezing is worse. She is also achy today. We are trying to rest far away from her because we don't want to catch it. Dad says we should use our snuggle power to make her better but he isn't getting close, so why should we. We might be a little on and off this week as mom gets better. You would think since she is spending so much time on the couch she could help us blog but I guess.
I'm hiding under the table so sneezes don't get on me.

Happy Valentines Day!

We want to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day. We have a few awards we have yet to pick up from people. We have not forgotten but today I want to model my dress. Mom says that I gained a little weight since the last time I wore it but it still fits mostly. This is a special Valentines Day dress. I don't have a date for Valentines Day but I can still go on the town. I might need something warmer because we got 4 inches of snow yesterday. I'm getting better at modeling. It takes lots of practice.

Fashion Friday

Guess what internets? My mom found me a new bandanna for Valentines day and I've been saving to model it until now. Since I'm not the best at modeling this is what it looks like.
I wasn't sure because it is pink and was worried it wasn't manly enough but my Dad wears pink and Skeezix wears pink, so why can't I. It is hard to see the bandanna when I'm in action but I did get to take some cute pictures anyway.

Worrisome Wednesday

Mom says thanks for being concerned about us and our bat situation. We both are updated on our rabies shots so we think and hope we are okay. The cats seem to be acting the same as before so Mom is not too worried. She is more worried about more bats. Our house is kinda weird and the one bedroom has access to an attic space that surrounds the room. That must have been how the bat got in. We tried to trap it but now can't find it. We are hoping it just got out the way it came in otherwise it will die and stink. Mom wants a new house that isn't old and doesn't have spaces for bats to get in. Does everyone think that as long as they have their rabies shots, things should be OK? I really don't think they got bitten but, a mom has to worry right? I'm hiding in this bag so no more bats can find me!

Whew, what a weekend.

Boy are we glad the weekend is over and Mom and Dad went to work so we can finally get some good napping in. Our grandmacat and auntcat came and brought some stuff. They brought us a new dining room table and 6 chairs. Well, they certainly didn't smell like us so we had to do a lot of rubbing. Then they took our mom and went shopping for baby stuff. They brought home this stroller and we thought for sure it was for us but it wasn't. And the extra room that will be the baby's room got opened up and we got to play in there. Dad went to check on us and we were chasing a bat. A real live bat. Mom and dad made us leave the room and they tried to get it but it went back into the attic. We have no idea where it went or why it was there. Mom was freaking a little bit about us chasing a bat and that it was just kinda trying to flop on the floor. We never bite things though so its not a big deal. Once, we had a mouse in our house and we did nothing but follow it around. We are just exhausted after this weekend. It was very nice out and still will be in the 50's until tomorrow. We hope all the snow melts and the mud goes away so we can go out without getting dirty. We are purring for all the cats and humans in Australia and hope they are all safe and sound.

Thursday Thirteen

We were having some difficulties uploading photos today and mom got tired of waiting for them so these are only a couple today.

Here are thirteen things that we have heard mom and dad talk about this week.

1. Patchacat, please no more pukes on the carpet. (Patchacat has become my new nickname I guess.)

2. Nemo, stop trying to lick your bandanna off.

3. Be more good. (This one is directed at both of us)

4. Sometimes I wish you didn't have such long whiskers. (Patches, I like to cuddle real close to my moms face at night and she grumbles when whiskers go up her nose)

5. Why must you follow me everywhere. (Again, Patches, mom rolls over in bed and I have to get on the other side too, mom gets up to use the bathroom a million times, I have to watch her)

6. We are out of cat food. (This worried us but mom assured us she'd go shopping tonight to get more)

7. Maybe we can take the cats outside again this weekend.

8. Nemo, you are snoring. (sorry mom and dad)

9. Nemo, stop meowing at the closed door. (Mom is worried I will wake the baby up when it arrives because I meow really loudly for no apparent reason.)

10. Visitors are coming tomorrow. (Yay, extra loves for us)

11. I don't want to go to work. (we hear this on a daily basis it seems.)

12. Why don't you cats clean the house while we are gone. (Yeah, right)

13. No more walking on moms belly. The baby doesn't like it.

14. Nemo, why must you drop such stinky bombs.

15. We love you Patches and Nemo. (We never get sick of hearing that)

Words for Wednesday

Everyone was correct on who the toes belong to. Patches also has white toes but its a smaller area in the front and her feet are less meaty than Nemos. We always say Patches is dressed up in her go-go boots and her fancy white gloves.

We got to go out on our leashes last weekend. There is still snow and its still chilly but we wanted to get some fresh air. Yesterday and today were really cold again but by the weekend it is supposed to be close to 50. We are very excited. Our grandma cat (Mom's mommy) and Aunt cat are coming to visit this weekend so we will have visitors. That is kind of exciting for us.

Toes on Tuesday

Here are some pictures of toes. Can anyone guess who these toes belong to? We think its easy to tell but they are our toes. Apparently that stupid groundhog saw his shadow yesterday. We are not pleased about it. Mom says it didn't matter anyway because winter never lets go too quickly.
